What do I need to do to start consigning my items?

All consignors have to agree/sign a Consignment Agreement

What items are approved for consignments?

Women’s/Teen Clothing, Shoes, Purses, Jewelry and Accessories.

All items must be current style and ready for resale. 

TBHB Management reserves the right to refuse any items not deemed suitable for resale.

When can I drop off my items?

Clothing and shoes can be dropped off seasonally by appointment only. 

Spring: February - April  Summer: May - July

Fall: August - October Winter: October - December 

Summer season includes shorts, swimsuits & cover-ups.

Winter season includes heavy sweaters, coats & snow-related items.

Do I need an appointment to drop off my items?

Yes, we do require appointments for clothing & shoes items. 

Can I drop purses, jewelry, and accessories at any time?

Yes, during our normal business hours.

How many items can I drop off at a scheduled appointment?

25 items per appointment

What brands do you accept?

All clothing brands are accepted except Lularoe, SHEIN, and some Vera Bradley patterns.

We only accept Pajamas, Robes, and sleepwear that still have original sales tags. We do not accept lingerie/undergarments of any kind.

Do you have clothing restrictions?

All items must be freshly laundered, folded, free of holes, stains, and odor. 

TBHB will not accept items that are not ready for sale. Wrinkled, stained, or items with holes or odor are not accepted.

Items with missing branded tags and/or missing size tags are not accepted.

Can I drop items in a trash bag? 

Items are required to be folded or on hangers in a shopping bag or box. NO TRASH BAGS

What happens to items not sold?

All items not sold are donated to a local organization of TBHB choice. 

Can I get my unsold items back?

Unsold items that do not sell are eligible for a reclaim.

All reclaimed items should be picked up.

All items will be kept for 60 days and are subject to special sales and markdowns.

Consigners must reach out before the consignment period ends to let us know they would like to reclaim any unsold items.

How long do my items have to sell?

All items are sellable for 60 days.

During the 60 days, items are subject to discounts and promotions.

Any items the consignor chooses to reclaim must be done within 3 days after the 60-day deadline.

You must inquire about item expiration dates.

What happens to items that are not eligible for sale?

If an item is found after drop-off to have damage, such as holes or stains, that prevents it from being offered for sale, TBHB reserves the right to donate the item.

TBHB also reserves the right to refuse any item that is not deemed suitable for resale.

Can I check my consignor account?

You can call the shop during normal business hours to check your account balance.

How Do I Get Paid for My Consigned Items?

Your consignor payout can be used toward new purchases at The Blue Heron Boutique.

If you prefer to receive your payout:

  • Payouts of $50 or less may be paid in cash in person at The Blue Heron Boutique during regular business hours.

  • Payouts over $50 will be issued by check. A check may be requested by calling the shop, emailing, or texting.

  • Checks may be picked up during regular business hours or mailed to the address we have on file.

Consignor commissions not collected within 2 years will be forfeited to The Blue Heron Boutique.

A $10 fee will be charged for replacement of lost checks.
